Hello everyone! Last night we had the Rainbow Owl shower and I’ve got to say- I had SO much fun. Here’s a peak…
I made the tiny banners with the leftover scrapbook paper that I had bought to make the toilet paper owls. The nice thing is I still have more left to actually scrapbook with. Hoorah! I placed the invite in the middle of the wreath and used some white flowers that I already owned to accent the wreath. The string is pink with tiny footprints, which I bought at Michaels for $1. If I had to do it over again- I would’ve paid attention to how much string I actually had. The intention was to wrap the wreath more- but alas I ran out.
*Note* I did try to hot glue the T.P. owls to the wreath but they did NOT want to stay put.
I decorated the guests of honor’s chairs with these cute rainbow streamers. We then hung the rainbow owl mobile I made from the ceiling fan and placed this hand-made rainbow wheel table runner on the coffee table to add even more color. Hanging the owl mobile from the fan worked out so nicely. It was fun to watch the mobile constantly move.
I set up the food table underneath the owl/lantern lighting décor we put up earlier this week. I made these cute food identifiers in Open Office using Back to 1982 font. No one wants a guest dipping their fruit into ranch dip or their veggies into cheesecake dip! Speaking of cheesecake dip- it was a hit. And the ham sandwiches? Winners. Here’s what the final menu looked like
I tried to set apart the gift table by using a red table cloth. I made the gifts banner using scrapbook paper and covered some cardboard with streamers in order to make add some visual height to the table. I’ve got to say- I did not like the effect of the streamers here. I’m not sure if it’s the color, or the proportion of the cardboard to the table, but if I were to do it again I would probably try something different like using rainbow wheels as a background. We had guests write their address on envelopes to make it easier on Nicole to send out Thank-You’s. How cute are these multicolored owl Thank You cards?
We played the Stroller Derby Trivia game (which was well worth the price) and then played played the Baby Lottery using the pickle cards. Afterward we just spent time enjoying each other’s company. It was so fun, I haven’t laughed so much in months. I think Nicole had fun what do you think?

So what ever happened to the T.P. owl family? I did finish the baby owl to round out the family and they made an appearance on the fireplace mantle. The baby’s beak looks a little strange to me, but they were still easy and fun to make.
That’s about it for this party! Hope you enjoyed the ride. Can’t wait for the next one! Any ideas for my next party?
