Give Thanks

Happy Weekend! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I have SO much to be thankful for. I have the best family, who I’m closer to than most people are, even though I only get to see them a few times a year. They are so supportive and amazing. I’m thankful for my brother and sister-in-law, who let us tag along and go on their vacation with them. I had so much fun last week and got to relax and get a break from work. Here’s a few pictures from the trip. They even brought us 2 boxes of baby clothes that are so cute I can’t wait to dress Eli in something new every day (really, I think he has enough clothes). Just check out his wardrobe… I’m thankful for my sisters, who are coming to visit and help after Eli is born. I can’t wait for them to meet him. How wonderful is it that I live across the country and still have so much support? I’m thankful for Josh, who is possibly the best husband who has ever existed. He is so loving, supportive, and helpful. He rubs my back when I wake u...

The Velveteen Rabbit

We’re at week 32! Only 8 more weeks to go. Yesterday we had our final baby shower and it was just adorable. My in-laws threw us a Velveteen Rabbit themed shower. Take a look at these pictures my sister-in-law took of all the sweet decorations. Isn’t it just adorable? I was so sad to tear down the diaper cake, but that wreath is going to go on his nursery door I’m sure. Eli is so lucky to have a crafty grandmother. Not only did she decorate the shower, but she also made him a ton of personalized burp cloths, onesies, pants, blankets, and bibs. Aren’t they soooo cute? I’m thinking about changing his going home outfit to be his little lion onesie she made him with his name embroidered on it. We’ll have to see! Oh and that bear backpack! Isn’t it precious? I can’t wait to pack it up for him to go out to his Mimi’s. He’ll just love it.                     Now for ...

Well, how was I to know there was a party goin' on?

Well that went by quickly. Only 14 more weeks until Eli is due, 12 weeks until my last work-day, 6 and a half more weeks until our extended family vacation, and 2 more weeks until our mini family vacation. I think we’ll need it. All of it. Here I am at 26 weeks in the only ‘normal’ shirt that made it this far. I’ve had quite a few people say I’m huge and quite a few say I’m small for size. Either way, I don’t care. I just want him to be healthy and me not to have to work too extremely hard after his birth to feel back to my normal self. So far I’m healthy and he’s healthy Weight gain: 21lbs at 26 weeks Eli’s Size: He should be about 2 pounds and about the size of a head of lettuce Cravings: Hotdogs! Seriously I had hotdogs 5 times this week. Side effects: foot cramps/Charlie horses, rib pain, seeing stars, hip pain, minor insomnia (only twice this week). I’ve been in such a bad mood for days now. I feel like everything hurts my feelings or makes me cry (even tears of joy someti...

It’s a Mad World

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a great day so far. We had a wonderful Saturday morning brunching with friends and having Eli’s first baby shower!! Oh my goodness I had so much fun. We brunched at Mad Donna’s (I had biscuits & gravy and French onion soup) with my lovely co-workers, who spoiled Eli, and subsequently us, to the max. I can not believe how generous people are!  Here’s a few pics… Seriously, check out that haul! We got some hilarious books including I Want My Hat Back and Mr. Tiger Goes Wild . They are so good I would read them just to lol And that pacifier? It’s Bass Pro Shop. Yea, my male co-worked is looking out for Eli. I seriously loved everything we got, but this shark set has a special place in my heart. How cute is that??  My coworkers suggest having him wear it during his first viewing of Sharknado . Hilarious. Oh! We also had some amazzzzing cupcakes from Ivey Cake. I’ve got to admit, I’m munching on one while I type. Not pictured? We boug...
