A Little Eclectic Update

Oh my goodness, it has been a long time since I posted. I have actually been crafting, but have just been too something (busy, lazy, exhausted?) to post. I have been working on something major, which I hope to share with everyone next week, but until then this is what you get.  An update on some of my projects. I did finish my Mother’s Day gift for my mom. When all was said and done, this is what the family birthday calendar looked like. Now it has one more dangle, as my little niece was born in April.                Speaking of which, I got a chance to take a few photos of my little niece. Out of the options listed in this post , Lacey (my sister in law) chose a huge purple bow from Loveable Baby Boutique , a gorgeous oversized pink flower headband from Pink Paisley Bowtique , and this sweet mini tutu set from  EmilyzEmbellishments . Okay, maybe I pushed that one on her I also snagged some super soft...

No one puts baby in the corner

So my sister-in-law and brother are having their third child this May and when we go visit I’m going to do a little photo shoot with props and everything. I’m so super excited to meet the little one and I’m also excited to see if my photography has improved at all. Since my last baby-shoot I’ve gained a new camera, 4 new lenses, a reflector, and new photo editing software. I’ve also read up on some tutorials (which explains a lot, like how you fit a baby into a little bucket WITH weights and padding) so I’m hoping I get at least a few good shots. I think the dogs are sick of me being in their face and frankly I could use more shots of people. Have I mentioned it’s a girl? I can’t wait to dress her up! It will be so so sweet. Here’s some (yes, only some) of the props I’ve found that I just love. She wants to do a big bow shot with baby and daddy.  For that, I love this white bow , but this green double-layer bow has that extra texture (I would probably do a different color). T...

Cheers to the freaking weekend

YAY! It’s officially my weekend! I have to say I am NOT used to working full time. My house is a disaster and  there’s only 2 meals in the pantry (for me this is low) and when I feel like I have extra time to do something I want to spend time with by husband or work on Natasha’s wedding details- not to mention the other million to-do’s floating around my head. SO- I’m getting off the wedding train for a minute. So many details are up in the air it’s crazy! I can’t believe the wedding is 4 weeks away, but I’ve got some other exciting things on the back burner. I was planning to throw a Halloween party in a few weeks and in 2 weeks I hope to shoot a few pictures of my friends’ newborn!! She’s SO cute! Remember the baby shower I threw a few months ago? Well baby Amelia has made her appearance and I’ve got a new camera. They were bound to meet sooner or later. Here’s my absolute favorite shots I’m dying to try. Click on the photos for their original source. Who wouldn’t want that S...
