I know this is kind of bad, but I’m ready for summer to be over. I know, I know. I’m working on being content in the present, but I honestly can’t wait to see my family again (rocking some boots and sweaters wouldn’t be so bad either). I’m off to Denver in September and I’ll be in my hometown in Wyoming for Thanksgiving. I only get to see the family every 3 or 4 months so every time it’s like a special treat. They’re so fun! Speaking of which…I was talking to my sister Tiffany about throwing a birthday party for her daughter (my niece), Kali, while I’m home since Kali’s a November baby. Tiff was down for it, but she also wanted some help in re-decorating Kali’s room and I can’t be any more excited. The idea for the very whimsical reno is to have a tree with some tangible flowers and branches. A dress-up station is also a must. Here’s some inspiration I’ve come across so far…
Top to bottom, left to right: Lumme Designs Bed, Fairy Tale Bedroom found at Lyring, Linde Browning Designed tree baby room, Tonya Stabb designed dress-up station,Polka Dot Chair designed dress-up station, Renae Taylor lavender and pink lily lights, and Flowers in Light crystal chandelier.
As for the party, I’m going to come up with story boards(ish) for different Disney princess theme ideas and a Hello City idea and see what Kali picks. Be looking for that soon! I’m off for now, have a fun weekend!!

You could totally have them make their own tiaras with jewel stickers, some heavy duty paper, and some staples. That would be super fun! Just don't staple the tiaras together until after the girls decorate them because they will all have different size heads...Or you could just steal some burger king crowns, paint them a plain color and let the girls decorate them with stickers and markers and stuff :)
ReplyDeletethat's cute~! I feel like Burger King owes me some crowns anyways
