Happy Mother’s Day from the house of the ill. We took Eli for his four month checkup and found out he has a respiratory virus. So now he’s on Albuterol via a nebulizer 4 times a day. It’s amazing how smiley he still is. I’ve spent most of this weekend wrapped up in bed battling a nearly 103 fever. After alternating between ibuprofen and Tylenol I’ve almost got it back down to normal. Even Josh caught the bug Friday. In spite of this we’ve still managed to have a pretty decent day.
My first mother’s day present came Friday when I picked Eli up from daycare. They made us a little ornament that will for sure be on our Christmas tree here in a few months. Then Saturday we got some mother-son and family photos done. We’ve only seen one photo so far, but it looked cute! I can’t wait to share the rest of them. This morning Josh went and bought me some maple donuts, flowers, and a sweet card. Even if it was a present-less day, I have the best present in the world. I get to be Eli’s mom. What a precious, amazing gift! Just this time last year he wasn't even the size of a blueberry, now he's here and he fills our house with so much joy and love.
What we bought: More socks, Nose Frida Filters, pacifier wipes
Invaluable purchases: Medela Quick Clean Micro-Steam Bags. We have to sanitize everything he puts in his mouth especially now that he has the respiratory virus.
How my life has changed: My hair- is falling out. There’s hair everywhere. One of those non-fun mom things. Hey, at least my nails are still long. Ah- and milk. I thought it was time to reintroduce milk into my diet. I was wrong. Poor little Eli’s tummy is not handling it well.
Eli- 4 Months! Week 17
This week I rolled over for the first time! I really like to roll from my tummy to my back. I’m almost a pro already. I made mom her first Mother’s Day gift and- I turned 4 months old! I’m 26 inches long (85th percentile) and 14 lbs 10 oz (47th percentile). I like to play with mommy’s hair and I love to get kisses.
That’s it for us! Pray that our family gets better.
