Josh and I had our doctor appt. Tuesday and the doc said he is 95% sure of the gender!! We’re keeping it semi-to ourselves until we tell my family which is taking what feels like forever. I wanted to tell them in a fun way that didn’t favor any one person, so we ordered gender reveal scratch-offs to send to everyone in the mail. I’m so excited! This is what we ordered… We got the scratch-offs here , while the bumble bee envelopes were custom made using Zazzle. Neither are in yet, so my poor family will have to wait. You probably can’t read the back of the envelope, as the image is tiny, but is says, “Will little Ms Elodie Ann or Mr Eli James be joining the family?” These are our official names! So why did we decide on these two? We wanted names that honored our heritage, but also honored God. Check out our rationale below. Okay this room is not super princess-y, but, I’m sure if we have a little girl she will rule the roost. I can’t seem to get away from sweet animals and bright colors, but I’m not sorry. If we have a girl, I do want the room to have a hint of elegance, but not so much so that you might not realize you’re in a child’s room. How genius is it to hang baskets on the wall like that? I’m 90% sure that’s happening. This board, as you may notice, has two mobiles. I’m a little obsessed with mobiles, so I’m thinking I’d make one for over the changing table, and the other over the crib. I LOVE the fairy mobile. This woman is so super talented and she makes custom orders. That is one thing I must buy if we have a girl. No exceptions, no replacements. Okay, so this idea board started out with the intention of being gender neutral, but I’ve got to say, it feels very boy friendly to me. Josh laughed at the Elk themed sheets, but hey, this baby’s got genetic roots in Wyoming. I’m sure he’ll feel right at home (if it’s a he). The idea is to have my dad paint an aspen tree-scape onto the wall where the crib will be, and accent the wall with artwork, etc. I may even be able to talk him into painting some customized raccoons rowing down a river on the bottom of the tree scape. He’s truly talented, but he swears he isn’t. Anyhow, I’m super excited about this room and I’m kind of in love with that mobile. Okay, so I’ve been thinking (obsessing) about the baby room already. I’m sure you’re not surprised, as I’m totally type A, but now that I’ve organized my thoughts/inspiration, I don’t know if I’ll be able to decide! I’ve created this ‘gender neutral’ board with a jungle animal theme, but I’ve also got boards ready for a forest animal themed room, a baby girl rainbow room (aka no theme), a mermaid room, and a Where the Wild Things Are, typical boy, themed room. Oh how I love themes. I really want the baby room to be bright and fun and whimsical. After all, this little person will only be little for a while. I’m sure I’ll blink and they’ll be rolling their eyes, listening to music, and tuning me out. I say, play up this part of life, right? All of the boards have a) storage, b) crib sheets, c) a cute humidifier, d) a mobile, and e) art. I tried to work in lighting here and there too. Regardless of what theme we choose, I definitely want to have plenty of room for books.  I’m going to t
