Decisions, decisions

Hello Hello! So here’s what’s going on in my neck of the woods- this past week I was asked to move full-time for the next few weeks in order to complete an anxiety curriculum for our Intensive Outpatient program. It needs to be done on Monday (yikes!) but I’ve been able to complete all but one class. In the meantime I’ve been working with Natasha on some wedding details. You’ll be glad to know she’s made some breathtaking decisions. She chose this garter to keep and is buying a cheaper garter to throw. She and Bart have also decided to use a kissing ball for the flower girl, a pillow for the ring-bearer, a vintage style suitcase for the cards and this advice book for the sage advice. It’s really coming together! I’m so excited for their big day, but there’s definitely some more organizational work required and it’s not exactly the kind that’s fun to share- unless you all would like to see schedules and lists. I thought not. OH! Also- we snagged an amazing Groupon for Faboo cakes

Trouble in Flowerdise

Oh my husband is crazy and he cracks me up (he named this post for me). Okay so Natasha sent me a few more flower options to flesh out and get some pricing ideas on. I was sent 7 images, but I picked three of the bouquets to *price*. Basically I choose the images that I could find an original source on, since the pictures were larger and tended to give me a better sense as to what was actually in the bouquet. All of the flower choices I’ve given below are basically guestimates. Some flowers I know off the bat, but some of them- let’s face it- I just guessed. Let’s roll. #1- The inspiration My guess… 100 stems for $239.99           10 bunches for $89.99             60 stems for $139.99    OR   80-100 stems for $149.99 10 bunches for $109.99            50 Stems for $189.99          75 Roses for $114.99 +        $10 in ribbon= $895-$995 #2- The inspiration My guess… 20 stems for $129.99          75 choose your own color standard roses for $129.99          10 bun

Gifts for the MOB

Mother of the bride that is. Looking for gifts for the mother of the bride (and stepmother, and mother of the groom) makes me kind of sad I didn’t get my mother anything! I totally forgot. I don’t think she minded, but still I would’ve liked to give her a sweet gift like one of these personalized handkerchiefs . Don’t you just love it? The options are endless and you know I love customization. I love these customizable pocket mirrors too . My mother wouldn’t use it, but I do like that it’s non-traditional (and coming in at $5 doesn’t hurt). Another option? Jewelry. With these bracelets you can add your wedding colors to the pearls in customizable Swarovski crystals, but this infinity necklace with it’s subtle solo pearl and sweet message just might take the cake. Of course there’s also always corsages. I think I’m biased against them- they always remind me of high school dances. What did you get (or what are you planning to get) your mom on your wedding day?

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

Or rather- I’m ba-ack. I’m so excited it’s almost Halloween! Of course I’ve been planning a party already (and I have my costume & my dog’s costumes in). So let me fill you in on Denver. My brother had some sweet shirts made for the group supporting my niece, Kamiree, and 40 some people showed up! This is what it all looked lie Front of the shirt Back of the Shirt                                     And the girl of honor? She’s doing so good! She had great days when we were there and has expanded her vocabulary like crazy. I did not end up making anything for the walk, but I think that was for the best. They had local businesses provide all sorts of goodies that were just amazing (and free for the participants). I still want to raise money for the cause, but I need to expand my ideas on that. I can’t exactly ship cookies across country any time. Any ideas? Okay so moving on- Where on earth did something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence

Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth

This will be short and sweet because I need to pack for DENVER! YAYYYYY!!!! I haven’t seen my family for almost 4 months and I miss them so much. Plus, it’s important for me to support my niece. If you want to learn more about Apraxia or are looking to give money to research for a worthy cause (charitable people are happy people!) click here . Moving on, the only thing I really know about my groom is that he plays blues guitar. Hey- what can I say? This wedding is all about the bride. Based on this information-slim I know- here are some quirky/cute groom gifts I think would hit home- though I do think they’re a bit too cheap to be the whole gift. Handmade guitar picks ($ 10 per !) Cuff links. Why give him just the picks when he can have the whole guitar ? I don’t know. Maybe you’re into that. Other guitar related loves? I think this pin would kind of be a cute alternative to a boutonniere. Guitar pick wedding favors are pretty cute too! But my favorite guitar themed item?
