Shopaholic

Today I got to do one of the thing I love most- shop. I also got to eat at Zaxby’s which is up there on the list. Anyhow- as Natasha’s wedding is now 15 days away (!!!) I took to the streets to shop for the remaining items on her list. After 4 hours and 6 shops, I came away with some treasures. Let me start by pointing out these lovely vintage toasting glasses. Oh my goodness I love them to death. I found them at The Cottage Consignment which seriously is one of the most adorable stores I’ve ever been to. It’s filled with antiques and modern day gifts. Not only that but it’s linked to this great smelling café. Have I mentioned how nice the staff is? Because they are and they’re really helpful. They actually had a huge selection of glasses and the price wasn’t bad at all. I got this pair for $65 with tax included Natasha is wanting the church alter to have candles only so I’m hoping these all white candles hit the spot. Which set up do you like better? The first or the second? I

(My) Weekend Wrap-up

My dears this week has flown by. We’re definitely wrapping things up with Natasha’s wedding. Can you believe it’s 16 days away!! EEK! I’m super excited for them, it’s going to be beautiful. I’ve basically been coming up with schedules, suggestions, etc. but I though I’d share these little favor cards I created at Vistaprint These are definitely just options and I’m not sure we’ll end up going with either one since we’re quickly running out of time, I just love the fact that you can order *Business Cards* and make them into whatever you want. This definitely would have saved us some time! And 250 cards for $20 really can’t be beat. Love it! They ended up going with Milestone Pictures for their videographer, which is amazing and of course   McLellan Style Photography is doing their photography (actually I think I forgot to mention that earlier). It’s just going to be beautiful. I’m not sure what was decided as far as the rehearsal dinner goes, but I suggested these places…. Magg

Ermagherd! Ermelia

Yay! I finally have some time to sit and write. This week has been busy and fun. Besides working all week, going to a wedding, and going to Octoberfest(!), I took a little time yesterday to take some much anticipated baby photos of Amelia. She officially turned 1 month old yesterday and she commemorated it by protesting the paparazzi. AKA- she cried a lot. Now crying doesn’t bother me much, but it did make it tough to get happy smizing or sleeping pictures. Also contrary to my initial thoughts-babies do NOT just lie there. Sure she seemed like she just slept and chilled 2 weeks ago, but yesterday she was awake! She wanted to kick and grab and snuggle. She’s already such an independent little thing. I still think I came back with a few cute ones. Here are some of my faves! Isn’t she just ADORABLE? I definitely had a lot of hit and misses, but it was so much fun. It’s helps too that we got to see our friends in the process. Have I mentioned how supportive Josh is? He went out to the *

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy

I’m so depressed! The Halloween party we were planning was cancelled (yea-that means we cancelled it). I LOVE love love Halloween, but I’m okay with a low-key night since many of our friends are going to be out of town the weekend we had planned to throw the party. Last year Josh and I spent time handing out candy to neighbor kids and watching the shining. Of course I decorated like crazy, but this year I think I’ll probably keep the decorating outdoors and use the food to celebrate the occasion. Here’s what I had planned food-wise for the Halloween Party. For (eh-hem, real food) snacks.         Trick or Treat Turnovers                                                       Pizza Mummies For crunching and munching on                   Scarecrow Crunch For dessert       Candy Corn Rice Krispies                        Monster Mash Pudding                  Pretzel and Brownie Skeletons I’ll probably let Josh pick out what I make for the occasion since all of it looks SO good

Cheers to the freaking weekend

YAY! It’s officially my weekend! I have to say I am NOT used to working full time. My house is a disaster and  there’s only 2 meals in the pantry (for me this is low) and when I feel like I have extra time to do something I want to spend time with by husband or work on Natasha’s wedding details- not to mention the other million to-do’s floating around my head. SO- I’m getting off the wedding train for a minute. So many details are up in the air it’s crazy! I can’t believe the wedding is 4 weeks away, but I’ve got some other exciting things on the back burner. I was planning to throw a Halloween party in a few weeks and in 2 weeks I hope to shoot a few pictures of my friends’ newborn!! She’s SO cute! Remember the baby shower I threw a few months ago? Well baby Amelia has made her appearance and I’ve got a new camera. They were bound to meet sooner or later. Here’s my absolute favorite shots I’m dying to try.
