The Velveteen Rabbit

We’re at week 32! Only 8 more weeks to go. Yesterday we had our final baby shower and it was just adorable. My in-laws threw us a Velveteen Rabbit themed shower. Take a look at these pictures my sister-in-law took of all the sweet decorations. Isn’t it just adorable? I was so sad to tear down the diaper cake, but that wreath is going to go on his nursery door I’m sure. Eli is so lucky to have a crafty grandmother. Not only did she decorate the shower, but she also made him a ton of personalized burp cloths, onesies, pants, blankets, and bibs. Aren’t they soooo cute? I’m thinking about changing his going home outfit to be his little lion onesie she made him with his name embroidered on it. We’ll have to see! Oh and that bear backpack! Isn’t it precious? I can’t wait to pack it up for him to go out to his Mimi’s. He’ll just love it.                     Now for his week 32 check in… Weight Gain:   29 lbs in 32 weeks. Crazy! I did gain 5 of those lbs wh

Baby it’s Cold Outside

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going marvelously. I got a few things done on our to-do list, but I still have a few nagging tasks, like watching The Happiest Baby on the Block and getting some maternity clothes altered. Sadly my maternity jacket came in and it wasn’t even close to fitting. Which, I guess is okay since it wasn’t actually very warm. I’ve got to get that sent out sometime too. I guess it will wait! I, instead, got side-tracked putting recipes into OneNote and making Big Soft Ginger Cookies. Hey, cookies are very important too right? This week I went to visit the doctor, which went pretty well. I met one of the doctors who might fill in if my doctor is out of town. He was super nice, and I can honestly say I would not be bothered if we had him help us deliver. He did confirm that I’m having Braxton Hick’s (2 yesterday in about 30 minutes). He also said, per my belly measurements, that the baby might be a little late, as he’s measuring a week behind. We’ll see! Jo

November!

We are so excited it’s November! I’ve been looking forward to this month for what feels like ages. We’ve got our last 2 baby showers coming up soon (the next one is the 8th) and then we’re off to our final family vacation before little Eli gets here. While we’re in Missouri my brother and sister in law asked that I take a few pictures of their family. Let’s hope I get some good ones! I’m excited, but also nervous (but mostly excited). My parents are heading back from Branson with us to work on the baby room and enjoy Thanksgiving, and I’m really looking forward to that too. It feels like it’s getting so close! We’re merely 10 weeks away from our due date. AH! But, we are mostly ready for Eli. We’ve got to get a few more necessities before he makes his appearance, but nothing too crazy. Here’s me at week 30 Did y’all enjoy Halloween? We had a lot more visitors this year than last, even though it was raining and windy. I dressed up Kito, as per usual, but this year he did not like
